city of dreams!!- my home for 2 mnths

as every dream ends i am leaving the city of dreams in next few days..
was it a dream or a nightmare for me?!?! none.. earlier wenevr i had come to this place i promised myself that I will never ever come to stay in mumbai for more than a day but now..i have survived here for almost two mnths( patting my back :))
Sometimes i felt ths city is professional/hard working and sometimes I felt its as crazy as a place can be..
I mean a person leaves home at 6 in the morning travel 2 hrs to reach work ,...slogs throughout the day and then goes back at arnd six..travel again for 2 hrs ..reaches home to crash and go back to work the next day again..thn where does a person can find time to spend wid family/friends... again reminding me of the lines - wat is this life full of care..we have no time to stand and stare!!
i have travelled a lot in mumbai through the locals- the lifeline of mumbai and best buses- again a lifeline.. i have travelled during peak hours and non peak hours..thankfully never had to travel hanging from the gate..have managed to fall down form the local tho...
Travelling in these trains/buses has given me a lot of time to think(u cant work wid any other of part of your body - like reading/ playing games on ur mobile or talking on phone while standing in a virtual cuboid of .5'*.5'*5.5' ;-/
the concept of personal space does not stand a chance over here..
i have travelled in the rains of mumbai!!! (wen trains do stop and i had to travel in a bus so crowded that i felt i will emerge as thin as a slice..but thanks to the elasticity of human body i retained my shape(??!!))
the food of mumbai?!! - i love vada paav... but i had my first and best vada paav in delhi..and after spending a few days in mumbai it dawned on me that actually the food is not as gud as in delhi- well actually it was made to dawn on me by my jij...
after that i have started noticing the taste of food in mumbai and understood how true my jij is...
now u will think vada paav is a mere dish which can be made by anyone in any way...and it should be of uniform tatse u have it anywhere- NO thats 100% wrong.. the way i get a vada paav in the canteen at our basement parking(yeah the canteen is next to the parking so that we can smell the petrol- and the smoke..) ..coming back to the vada paav i ordered it twice - the way they make it -> 2 paavs, spearately kept two vadas..and thats it...can u beat that.. in the city of vada paavs having to eat this kind of vada paav is absolutely terrible...
the best vada paav that u get here is from the road side stalls...
the people here are not really very friendly as my mumbaiya friends suggest.. and it is just like any other metro- yeah the auto wallahs dont cheat u as much as chennai or bang..
having said all that given a chance i would like to come back to mumbai ??? - no... yes.. may be.. but not for long time...

Mumbai is definetly not a place to settle down but definetly one to stay for sometime...

Try pav bhaji just next to CST station entrance or even better in tilak nagar...its very there...

  2. Yes...its a incredible place...where else we find a place which absorbs everyone openly...in its crazy, busy, professional, blunt, loving, rustic and religious atmosphere.....where infrastructure is cracking at all seams...and still people smile and joke with each other, fight one moment and regroup other...standing four hours a day being grinded in metro rut.....
